How did I get here?
After everything that's happened all the various times that I have tried to make music over the years, it's honestly surprising that I am still trying to do this. People tried to get me to stop. People sabotaged me. At times, it's felt like the universe was trying to tell me to give up.
But, for whatever reason, I kept coming back to writing songs, making music.... As I am so fond of saying, songwriting is the only therapy I can afford.
But there was always something else. Like, no matter how many times I tried to quit, something inside me just wouldn't let me. And then I stumbled on the word Telos, and I started to understand. Aristotle said that Telos was someone's purpose... their reason for being... particularly in art.
And I understood.
